Safety
Better safe
than sorry.
That said, you can always rely on us. Vinçotte is the leading control and inspection institute in the field of safety in Luxembourg. Our experts check whether technical building facilities and buildings comply with current regulations, permits, laws and specifications, thereby ensuring the health & safety of all occupants. For instance, we define health & safety and environmental checks for facilities and buildings at each stage of a project and test electrical equipment using infrared technology.
Safety inspections
Safety first!
Always.
Safe from the word “Go”. We will check the conformity of buildings for our customers before any construction or renovation work starts, compiling the necessary expert opinions. For example, to determine the safety level of a building or a technical system. On request, we also monitor buildings on a permanent basis – from planning and acceptance and including all periodic inspections.
Acceptance of new-build or renovation projects
Everything safe and sound! Before the public is given access to a new building, all systems have to be inspected for technical compliance and safety. This applies, for example, to fire alarm systems, smoke extraction systems, fire compartmentalisation, escape routes, ventilation systems or air conditioning.
Regular safety checks
A 360° view. Always! Once a system is up and running, periodic safety inspections are necessary to ensure compliance and safe use by staff and the public. This includes, for example, periodic checks of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting or a building’s lifts.
Safety reports
Independent experts! No matter in which phase a project is, we compile safety reports for facilities and buildings. Safety checks can be performed even before a project starts, with the safety level subsequently assessed upon completion. Checks can cover, for example, a building’s evacuation system, its electrical systems or the overall safety of a specific facility.
Health & safety and environmental (HSE) audits
Safe for people.
Safe for the environment.
A HSE audit involves mapping the status of a company or a facility with regard to the implementation of applicable requirements. To do this, we start by analysing the as-is situation, checking whether required inspections have been performed and clarifying on site whether approvals and certifications are in line with the building’s current status.
We also analyse all processes and operations at and within the facility. Finally, we will assist you in implementing an action plan to permanently eliminate any weak points or problems, drawing up a final report of all operations.
Thermography for electrical installations
Electrical installations in focus.
Safe and efficient.
We see everything! By means of imaging technology, we are able to check electrical installations for sources of faults in circuits and to identify possible risk factors. To do this, we create a thermal image using infrared thermography, using the radiated heat to make sources of defects visible. These include loose contacts, overloaded conductors and switching panels, undersized cables, defective equipment, etc.
Working on site, we determine the temperature of switching panels, distribution boxes, cabling, etc. and subsequently draw up a comprehensive report containing photographs of all potential sources of faults. This technique is particularly meaningful when used to confirm an initial suspicion. In addition, thermography can also be used on whole buildings to detect mould, condensation or thermal bridges.
