Accreditation

Vinçotte Luxembourg has gained accreditation from the Office Luxembourgeois d’Accréditation et de Surveillance (OLAS) in the field of inspections and tests for the following standards:

  • EN ISO/CEI 17020: Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspections
  • EN ISO/CEI 17025: General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories

Vinçotte Luxembourg is now also ISO 9001 certified for all of its services (inspections, laboratory, training, etc.).

Approvals

Vinçotte Luxembourg is authorised by the following authorities to perform statutory inspections:

  • by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security for the implementation of inspections and permits in the field of occupational health and safety
  • by the National Public Service Safety Department (SNSFP)
  • by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development for the implementation of the environmental performance of equipment and plants
  • by the Ministry of Economy for the implementation of calculations and energy certificates for certain buildings

As a company, Vinçotte is committed to continuously strive for greater safety and efficiency. Our offering includes the objective provision of qualified knowledge and services for controls, inspections, conformity assessments, expert opinions and training. Our expert opinions relate to quality, health & safety, the environment and efficiency.

The general business policy of Vinçotte is reflected in our determination:

  • to pursue a structured policy aimed at continuously improving quality, health & safety and efficiency and reducing accident rates, breakdowns and material damage, and human suffering,
  • to play a leading role in the fields in which we operate and offer our services,
  • to further develop our services in line with current requirements through applying modern technologies and methods,
  • to furnish these services in a completely objective and impartial manner and in accordance with the required business ethics and objectives,
  • to pursue a policy based on competence and transparency, allowing public authorities and businesses to have confidence in the services provided by Vinçotte within this regulatory or voluntary framework,
  • to offer services achieving at a minimum the intended quality level and compliant with customer or regulatory requirements.

Implementation of this policy requires dynamic action, yet also oriented towards achieving the desired profitability. This approach provides a highly motivating environment for our staff, in turn prompting continuous improvements in quality, health & safety and efficiency in line with inherent ethics in all business areas. Both Vinçotte managers and employees contribute equally. Health, safety and environment (HSE)

Health and safety are of paramount importance to all Vinçotte staff. This is guaranteed by Vinçotte in the following manner:

  • Creating a working environment for employees in compliance with legal requirements and current HSE guidelines and directives,
  • Reviewing and assessing potential risks, incidents and accidents to prevent them happening (again) and limiting injuries and material damage,
  • Seeking, developing, and applying work methods and processes and purchasing materials and goods with a view to ensuring maximum safety for employees and goods and a minimum impact on the environment while providing maximum efficiency,
  • Being a role model for our staff in terms of health and safety, and our impact on the environment.

With every employee assuming responsibility for achieving these goals, all staff are required to:

  • act responsibly and pay attention to their personal health & safety and that of their colleagues and customers when performing the assigned missions, with a view to minimising the impact on the environment while achieving maximum efficiency,
  • ensure that the necessary material and (protective) equipment are available to safely perform the assigned missions,
  • use the provided (protective) equipment and all materials properly,
  • inform management of any abnormalities regarding health and safety or the environmental impact.

Ethics

Vinçotte’s work is based on common values shared by all employees: respect for human dignity, personal privacy and personal rights. When hiring staff, candidates are selected regardless of gender, age, nationality, race, religion or culture. We operate a zero-tolerance policy against any form of harassment, discrimination or insult. Our guidelines are designed to ensure that all Vinçotte activities are conducted in accordance with applicable standards governing respect of the individual, honesty, integrity, quality and professional requirements.
